Spring Cleaning Book Tag (the orig.)

Heyy everyone! welp, I did the 2.0 of this tag before the orig, but whatever~ just pretend like I did it in the right order 😀

So I didn’t get tagged for this, but I’ve invited myself to do this, haha. Vaishnavi brought it to my attention that there’s a 1.0, which I never did, lol. So here I am~

From the Wild

The rules for this tag are:

  • link back to Daniel @ page by page
  • respond to the scenarios (duhh 😉 )
  • and tag 5 people

Here we go!divider_oneinamillion

Uhm, I have to copy Vaishnavi on this one (cringes because she hates copying answers. makes her feel unoriginal and boring) so it’s The Sun is Also a Star by Nicola Yoon. Haven’t read it? Watcha doin’, child?? Jk… sort of.

So I would pick this because JUST LOOK AT THE COVER. Isn’t it a beauty?? (and this is why I’m a fangirl/bookdragon) And, like Vaishnavi also said, (ohmagosh so orginal I know) and I quote,

It also looks like those intimidating YA novels that are super thought-provoking, earning myself bonus points with friends + family. Yay! –the one and only Vaishnavi

But actually- yes. There’s also another one- I’d probably pick this one because I’m so original, ya know?- Kingdom of Ash by Sarah J. Mass. It’s the last book in the Throne of Glass series.Image result for kingdom of ash cover art

Also, the cover is simply gorgeous. Did I mention I have it as a hardback? And hardbacks are beauty personified (or book-ified I guess). It’s a great book… but mostly, it’s big. Like, a thousand pages sort of big 😀 This basically screams *alert! smart person! alert!*  like nothing else. And it’s intimidating hehe.

Okay. I’ve never thought about this before (horrors, I know!) so off the top of my head:
1. Leah on the Offbeat Becky Albertalli. Can you imagine hearing that amazing character~ and I wanna hear drum solos. DRUM SOLOS, DO YOU HEAR ME?

2. Any of the Rick Riordan books. Uhm, it would be awesome to hear that sarcastic little Perce because he’s just great. So how would Annabeth’s voice sound? Thalia? Leo? Apollo? Calypso? SADIE KANE?

3. The Book Thief – Markus Zusak. I want to hear Death narrating a book!! That’s super cool, right? And also, Rosa’s cursing 😉 because apparently she’s SUPER intimidating. Liesel would know.

Whaaat? Noooo! I could never do that to any of my precious babies!

*pulls all of my books close to me and glares at whoever wrote this question*

Are you forcing me to choose? Choose to kill one of my books?! No thank you!

Okay, I have to agree with Vaishnavi on this one- the first thing I thought when I read “2007 Cosmos” was Quidditch broomstick! See, this is why people call me a nerd.

So, um, one: my parents would never allow this. And two: even if they did allow this, I’d probably get so engrossed in the book that I would never come out! So I wouldn’t do this, but if I had to choose, I would pick:

The Young Healer, by Frank N. McMillan III. This is a lil’ light read that I got eons ago (idek where from) and it’s sweet but meant for a younger audience. I keep it around because sentimental value, you know?

For the sake of the question, I’m going to give it the benefit of doubt and hope that this isn’t serious (I know it isn’t, don’t worry). So here’s the answer I’m giving, assuming I shouldn’t take this literally:
Can I just say that the Land of Stories ending sucked?? Yes. It did. The last book’s end was a huge disappointment for lots of fans. I’m not going to spoil it, but I’ll just say this: Alex was so… out of character. I just felt like that. Does anyone else agree?

Hmm. This.. is harddd.

The Hate U Give by Angie Thomas. I’ve been wanting to read this forever, so maybe I’ll finally get the chance if I buy it!

Eragon by Christopher Paolini. Yes, another one that I’ve been meaning to read. I’ll get around to it, I promise!

The Burning Maze by Rick Riordan. Guys, I need this book although I don’t want it. Why, you ask? Well, that’s for me to know and you to find out.

Jk, it’s just that THE ANGUISH. THE HEARTBREAK. Basically, the spoilers tore me apart.

Ha. My aunts- they would never do that (or so I think…) but for question’s sake:

DIVERGENT MWAHAHA. I bet she’ll freak out that her itty-bitty niece has been reading such big kid books.

Honestly, I don’t know. So on that note, we’re done!

I’m not tagging anyone because… I’m not. But this is open to anyone, so just like this post and leave me a message in the comments so I can check out yours! (I promise a free like and comment. Bribes, anyone?)

  1. hahahaha. HA. how dare you copy me, aditi?! nah, just kidding. I feel super honoured! (see what I did there with the u? ayy). yes, read eragon, RIGHT NOW. no regrets. at. all. I don’t exactly feel the same way, but my cousin told me I needed to read it because it was better than the percy jackson series and h.p. series COMBINED.
I reallyreallyreally want to read “the hate u give”. I remember there was a time when the whole blogiverse was obsessed with that book when it came out, but it’s ok, we can be late together >.<

    1. and I’m offended. The “u” was simply unnecessary. Are you trying to prove that you’re smarter? (Yes, I’m still holding a grudge against your statement in school 😐).
I don’t remember that time because I’m new, haha. But let us be late together!! Whoopee!

      1. um, right back at you, of all the things I pointed out, you chose to be upset about a “u”? tsk tsk. but you know I didn’t mean it right?
yes! we will conquer the world once we’ve read “the hate u give”! and we’ll celebrate with a cookie 💛
