My Nominations For The 2020 Book Blogger Awards!

Welcome… to the Fourth Annual Book Blogger Awards! May the odds be ever in your favor!

This is the first time I’m ever participating in these awards which are hosted by the very lovely May @ Forever and Everly and the equally amazing Marie @ Drizzle and Hurricane Books. Thank you so much to both of them to for hosting this!

I’m incredibly excited to post this because not only have I been nominated (multiple times!! it means so much to me!!) and want to spread the love even further, but because this is a perfect chance to write a little bit about all of my favorite book bloggers.

★ Best Pre-Teen / Teen Book Blogger (13-19) ★

This is a really hard prompt for me because so many book bloggers fall into this category! But if I had to pick, I’m going with Caitlin @ Caitlin Althea because all of her posts are so thoughtfully written. Plus, she never gives up an opportunity to support her fellow bloggers! I normally don’t interact with Caitlyn’s blog- that’s something I tend to do when the bloggers have a really large following and I don’t want to disturb them- but whenever her posts are published, I adore reading them.

★ Best Adult Book Blogger (20+)★

Marie @ Drizzle and Hurricane Books is always so active in the blogosphere and writes the most interesting and relevant posts all the time! I always love reading her posts (although I’m somewhat of a silent lurker >.<) and look forward to whenever she posts. Plus, her design always fills me with such warmth! Even the header is so wholesome. ❤

★ Best Book Reviews ★

As you may or may not know, Nish and Ngoc @ Nish & Ngoc’s Book Nook have not only the cutest header EVER (how come I never noticed this before??) but also the most interesting types of book reviews! I linked to a recent book review that they wrote- because two people are writing it and reading the book together, it makes the experience 2 times more interesting! I’m already obsessed with their style 😍

★ Best Book Recommendations ★

I feel like most of the time, I look to the bloggers at The Quiet Pond, especially CW, when I’m looking for book recommendations- especially ones by diverse authors! All of the bloggers’ posts include the very lovely pond characters (I love them so much!) and I’ve heard of many of my favorite reads through TQP.

★ Best Discussion Posts ★

Faith @ Pages Left Unread is one of my new favorite book bloggers and their post about Felix Ever After is actually what prompted me to read it + adore it!! Faith is 1) a super kind and genuine person (our discussions about washing our hair were amazing) and 2) a seriously cool blogger.

Xandra @ Starry Sky Books always has the most informative and useful discussion posts! I feel like I always related to her discussion posts but I’m biased: I’m trash for anyone who’s trash for Percy Jackson.

Both the bloggers at Pages Unbound always have the best discussion posts! They are always informed, creative, and thoughtful. I don’t comment often (this is becoming a trend…) but I always enjoy reading them!

★ Best Blogging/Writing Voice ★

One of my favorite bloggers/blogs ever has to be Lais @ The Bookish Skies. Whenever I write a discussion post, Lais is always there hyping me up! Plus, her blogging voice is THE most wonderful thing. She always takes her own pictures for her posts too, which is a tiny detail which I definitely appreciate. It adds to the atmosphere and vibe of her blog!

Beck @ Smellfoy Can Read is going on this list for sure!! I don’t know if she even considers herself a book blogger but there is NO way that I can’t nominate her for this category. Her posts are always filled to the brim with voice and I love interacting with her through comments! We even have inside jokes 😉

★ Best Blog Aesthetic ★

There’s no way I can’t nominate The Quiet Pond again. Why do people not mention just how creative the posts and ideas are?! I am OBSESSED and in love with the entire design and the characters!

★ Most Supportive ★

Amber @ Amber’s Reads Online is one of the sweetest and most supportive book bloggers you will ever meet. During April when I did a monthly writing challenge, she commented on EVERY ONE of my TWENTY-FIVE posts!! I love her and her writing style a ton and her new series where she writes a novel is so fun. (hey, that rhymed!) Plus, Amber is the best popcorn.

★ Most Engaged In The Community ★

My nomination for this category has to be Sophie @ Me and Ink. There’s no way I could leave her out- her posts are always the best and her personality is the most wonderous thing. She’s overall one of my favorite book bloggers! Plus, she’s always commenting on every one of my posts- and her comments are actually long and thoughtful (AKA she takes the time to read my rambling posts for real). I love her and her blog so much!!

★ Most Creative ★

I definitely think that Malka and Chana @ Paper Procrastinators have some of the coolest and most creative posts in the bookish community! I love reading them and I always learn a lot from their different book post ideas.

Ash @ Starlight Strands (yes, sometimes I slip up and call her blog Ash Ronnel instead) is one of THE kindest and supportive bloggers! Other than the part where she is a super cool person, Ash always has the most interesting posts that she always puts 100% effort into- and you can definitely tell how much she cares about her blog.

★ Best at Promoting Diverse Books ★

May @ Forever And Everly is one of my all-time favorite bloggers because she never fails to constantly promote and support BIPOC and LGBTQ+ authors as well stories featuring marginalized characters. I really love her tweets too- they’re always funny/insightful/thought-provoking/stanning-percy-jackson-obviously. Like I said, I’m trash for anyone who’s trash for PJO.

★ Best Personality ★

Yeah, catch me nominating one of my best friends for “best personality”. Am I biased? Duh. Do I care? Nope. Anyways, El @ Elated Books is one of the stupidest/coolest/worst/best people on the blogosphere. I love her lots but she’s always bullying me 💀

★ Best Overall Blogger ★

This is so hard for me because so many of my nominations in this post could be for any of the other awards! And I feel like I’m cheating but I just have to nominate both May @ Forever And Everly as well as Marie @ Drizzle and Hurricane Books (yes,,, for the second time for both of them) because not only do they give amazing book recommendations and promote a wide variety of books, but they always have new and engaging content that hooks their readers and they also make it a point to engage with the community.

We appreciate you for all of your amazing blogging work!

Since we’re finally done with this exhausting to write huge post, I just want to thank everyone that has nominated me!! It means SO much to me and I really really appreciate it.

Also, I haven’t been posting as often as I’d like because I’m honestly at a loss for what to post about. So give me some ideas about types of posts you’d like me to write!
