Hey everyone!
Today’s post is kind of yesterday and today? I started it yesterday but it was way too late to post it. So here goes nothing! (this is sort of like Inside Out, now that I think about it!)
Benny stayed very still, trying not to disturb his human, Leeza.
“Shush!” Benny whispered to Goldie, who was fidgeting impatiently. “We don’t want to disturb her!”
Goldie shot him a glare but complied, flopping down on the ground. She was a dark-skinned beauty, with long golden hair and golden eyes to match. She seemed like she had walked out of a dream.
And she had. Goldie and Benny and all the other Dream Friends only existed in the Dream Plane. They were Leeza’s dreams come to life, and some of them were more influential than others.
Goldie tossed her hair. “Where is that macho dude from yesterday’s dream?” she asked.
Benny shrugged. “He must have not stuck around in Leeza’s memory. He’s just a one-time dream friend, I suppose.”
Goldie huffed but didn’t argue. They, and some other Dream Friends, were the only ones who had been in Leeza’s Dream Plane consistently for over two years now.
“Leeza’s getting older,” another voice lamented. “She’ll replace us soon.” The voice belonged to an old man named Jarvis.
But Benny shook his head. “Maybe you, Jarvis. But Leeza wouldn’t stop dreaming about us after so many years. We have a story going on, remember?”
Jarvis croaked out, “Well, maybe you’ll be killed off one day, boy.” And he hobbled away.
Goldie laughed. “Great guy, hmm?
She stood up and looked around. The Dream Plain changed every night. Yesterday it had been a starry sky, with fluffy pink clouds and rolling hills. Last night had been the top of a mountain, with snow dusting the ground.
During the day, however, the Dream Plane was the same. Concrete floors, blue-gray skies, occasional clouds. That was it.
This meant that all the Dream Friends waited in boredom for nighttime, entertaining themselves until then.
“It’s almost nine-thirty PM!” Goldie exclaimed, standing up and looking around as the landscape changed from dull to bright.
Leeza went to bed at 9 but her dreams only started at around 9:30 every night.
Everyone in the Dream Plane stood up, some of them disappeared, and some more Dream Friends started popping in. They were appearing in Leeza’s dreams today.
“It’s starting!” Benny said to Goldie, who was staring at the yellow sky. “And we’re in today’s dream!”
It was obvious that they’d be in Leeza’s dreams- after all, they had been in almost every dream since she was four.
Benny adjusted his stance and met the sky’s taunting gaze.
He was ready for whatever tonight would throw at him.
I hope you liked that!
Did you have an imaginary friend when you were little? Have you seen Inside Out? Can you remember your dreams?
As usual great post ;)! I have seen Inside Out and omg, that movie made me tear up at the end while other smaller kids in the theatre were staring at me;) Also totally random but, where do you get inspired to write your stories? They’re always so creative and unique!

Heyyyyyy sorry I haven’t really been active on your recent posts I’m just finding it hard to cope with everyone posting more because of the quarantine 😦
I LOVED this tho – for the one millionth time, girl, you are so talented! This kinda gave me strange the dreamer vibes in the beginning but then you took it to a whole other place! I especially liked the old guy 😂 Benny shouldn’t underestimate him!
I had a bunch of imaginary friends when I was younger in different forms but (and I literally only remembered this a couple weeks ago) I had a group of friends named after parts of the plants, which must have come from those plant dissections we did in primary, man I was a cute kid 😂

Hey girl!! You never reply to my texts lmao but no problemo, I get it 😉 aww THANK YOU!! I love u 😭🥺 ohh haha I haven’t read that book lol. I really like the concept but I wish I could age it up a little and make it darker- like maybe Leeza is a depressed teenager and her dreams reflect that? And the characters are put through trials every night OOH I AM INTO IT 😅😍 hah the old guy Jarvis.
I had one girl named Emily who lived on Mt. Kilimanjaro lmao but she was the girl on a Kohl’s tag 🤣. Wow that’s seriously weird jkjk.

Serious Inside Out vibes 💕 I loved how you made it about dreams though, dreams are magical. I think this would be crazy if this was what actually happened for our dreams to happen! 😂 Considering the crazy things that happens in my dreams, I fee sorry for the actors! I never actually had an imaginary friend, maybe I did but I can’t remember 😆 Loved this lots Aditi! 💖 Keep up the incredible writing!

I know right haha. I was going to have them be imaginary friends but that’s literally copying so I had them be Dream Friends (the name is soo bad though XD but I had no energy to think of anything else, it was ELEVEN IN THE NIGHT).
Hahaha I’m thinking of actually continuing this but it’ll be kinda like the hunger games-ish but no one dies because it’s a little girl’s dreams XD but they’re put through trials and tests every night! And if they die they don’t ever come in her dreams again!

Yesss! IF’s are awesome, hands down. DF’s are so cool too tho! Honestly, probably cooler in my opinion. I jut loved the concept! 💕 Haha that is pretty darn late, I want to post today but it’s 9pm and uh I wanna watch Netflix, read and sleep 😴
That is so, so cool! AHHH I LOVE THE HUNGER GAMES! Such a good series. Please continue it – I’d love to read that! Will you be publishing chapters through your blog?? 💖

LMAO THE ACRONYM THREW ME OFF- I was like why are we talking about ifs ands and buts?! 😂 I think I might continue it but right now I really want to take a break from writing stories lol. After this month I need to publish actual content!!

HAHA I’M SORRY- CEO OF ACRONYMS 😂 No ifs, no buts, no coconuts! *why did I just say that 😆* I totally agree! Once I’ve posted my reflection post, I won’t be starting the novel for a few weeks so I want to post normal content for my readers and for me!! 🙂

THIS WAS SO GOOD! I can’t say that I’ve watched Inside Out yet ( despite Disney + constantly trying to force it down my throat ) but if it’s even half as entertaining as this I better get onto it! I love this concept of dreams – I know I have had some crazy ones and wanna know what made them happen!

THANK YOU! haha recommended suggestions and whatnot are annoying 🙄 I personally didn’t like Inside Out as much as most people but it was still good!! Totally- I think I started this off really softish but if I could rewrite it with a darker theme, an older child, and funnier characters this is something I would read!!
