Happy Birthday To My Amazing Friend El! (and a very merry christmas 🎄)

Hello, everyone!

I’M SO EXCITED. As I type this post, I was just talking to my dear friend Elwho’s BIRTHDAY IS COMING UP! For privacy reasons, I’m not saying exactly which day her birthday is on, but it’s closeby to today! And since Christmas is right by, I decided to combine it.

First of all, what??

Is this a post dedicated to a person?!?!

YES, IT IS. El is my bestie blogging friend (sometimes we are absolutely stupid but I also love her and the love is a little bit more, y’know) so it’s kind of inevitable that I’m posting for her birthday. Since it would be really weird if I just randomly rambled on and on, I’m going to actually write a letter to her, online! I wish I could ship her a present, but 😂 that won’t really work out haha.

Dear El,

Happy birthday!! You’re an old child now!

When we first chatted, it must have been in May- before school let out for me and when we had those huge comment discussions about chocolate and brownies and books and food. (no, I can’t really remember much but it’s the thought that counts, right??)

Then we got onto texting terms. We did ’20 questions til love’ ahahah remember? And then we used to text a lot, a few times a week at least! It was kind of random but it meant a lot to me. Plus, it meant I could rant aimlessly about troubles in real life to someone who didn’t know any of the people I complained about! 😀

Now, we still text often- maybe a few times a week? Sometimes every day? But it differs when you have finals and tests (which I know because I can figure it out lol) or when I have a music concert coming up (and you know because we’re predictable like that). 😉

So after that phase when we were testing the waters etc, I found out that you like fashion BUT HEAVEN FORBID NEON COLORS AND WEIRD ANIMAL PRINTS. Which is exactly how I feel! Like, who wants to wear crocodile skin and tiger print??

I still think it’s horrible that you don’t like pineapple pizza, but what can I say? Sometimes I have to look past your flaws. SOMETIMES. (if it gets any worse, though? I’m disowning, ngl) 😂

Then we graduated to the next stage. I found out how you looked and you found out how I look! (pasty skin gang, oh whoops- can’t relate) (that was so evil of me mwahaha) Your hair’s amazing, btw 😉

And, of course, that’s how we started making fun of each other’s full names. Like, seriously, your name is THE MOST ENGLISH NAME EVER. THE WHITEST OF THE WHITE. It makes me crack up because now I know a stereotypical English girl with a posh accent and a stereotypical name 😭

Which brings me to my next point- I could have never been prepared TO HEAR YOUR FREAKING ACCENT. IT’S FLAWLESS. GORGEOUS. AMAZING. And it makes me feel like a barbarian in comparison haha. Which is not fair, because it’s not like I have an ugly voice!! I’m a singer, for goodness’ sakes! But, of course, the posh English accent beats me. Sigh. It’s hilarious how you reacted when I told you my full name (including the five first names and my last name XD) and you were like, wha-??

And gosh, our long discussions about school systems are WHACK. Just last week we chatted about points and grades in America versus the ABSOLUTE NOTHING CHAOS THAT YOU HAVE IN ENGLAND. Like, how do you measure progress?! (I know, you explained it to me, but I still don’t understand!!)

Sure, I suppose the American system is stupid and crazy as is, but I seriously can’t understand the English system. Hmph, you guys have something called graphics though, which sounds like SO much fun, and the hat you showed me is so cute!!

We’ve called before, mostly to work on The Diamond Village, and it always makes me happy. Also, we end up talking about random things for two hours (whoops).

So, finally, I want to thank you for being there for me as an amazing best friend and a huge pain in the neck 😉

(also, I’m expecting a long comment thanking me, the kindest person on earth, for this amazing post, ok??) (and idk about you but I consider you one of my best friends even though we’ve never met XD) (if you get an insta, we’ll be those friends who tag each other in everything and are annoying but idc)

Before we all die of sap, let me just say: to everyone who celebrates Christmas, I hope you have a wonderful day and get a lot of gifts and eat a lot of amazing food!! XD

And to everyone who doesn’t (I FEEL YOU MY BROTHERS AND SISTERS), I hope you also have a wonderful day! Don’t cry about the gifts you didn’t get and I won’t either *sniff sniff* haha.
