The Diamond Village Blog Tour // TWO character reveals + schedule!

Hello, loves!

As you might have noticed, this post will be part of the blog tour introducing The Diamond Villagea new collaboration blog that I ‘created’ (more like ‘thought about it one fine day and decided it MUST become something’) with the help of five other amazing bloggers- El (bestie, luv you ❤ (and your accent)), Ash (I GUESSED IT RIGHT HAHA *y’all muggles won’t know what we’re talking about*), Emma (After was a complete mess! I’m glad we could suffer through it together hehe), Ju (omg who is this wonderous photographer?? a pigeon? a robin? a DODO?), and, of course, the one and only Mukta (kween of design, utter KWEEN- you are literally a goddess with art).

As you might have noticed from my ramblings, these bloggers are PRECIOUS and the funniest and coolest and most sincere group I could have worked with *cries happy tears*.

But enough about that- you’re all wondering, what the heck is The Diamond Village? Well, fear not, my friends- I have a simple description taken directly from our home page:

The Diamond Village is a fantasy-themed blog with a storyline and interactive, adorable characters who strive to put a smile on your face whenever we can! Our storyline shows how our characters progress through their lives in the bright Village, the challenges they face, but, most importantly, how they overcome them with kindness and intelligence.

Before you check out our latest posts, here’s what you should know: our Village Leader, Mara, posts our storyline-related content once a month so don’t be too worried about not understanding what’s going on. She’ll re-cap what happened previously so you’re not too confused. The rest of the content will be from our other Villagers and about all your favorite topics- books, nature, arts & crafts, news, representation- and with our same cozy and inclusive atmosphere.

So join us on this whirlwind ride of fun and kindness, magic and mayhem, will you? Go check out our posts and don’t forget to follow the blog so you won’t miss any!

Didn’t understand? No worries, neither did I when I created it 😉

Here’s the run-down: TDV is a fantasy-themed blog with a storyline and characters that live in the Village and have to overcome obstacles as well as go through day-to-day aspects- just like us, except… magic. Magic is a pretty big thing in the Village, and lots of Villagers are even gifted with magic!

Other than story-line related posts once a month (by yours truly, the Village Leader- more on that later), we have posts about arts and crafts, news & representation, BOOKS (since I know a lot of my readers are book bloggers!), and everything in between!

Plus? We’re inclusive and diverse, with bloggers from America, the UK, India, New Zealand, and the UAE.

But before I tell you everything (I mean, there’s a whole BLOG for that), here is the blog tour schedule for the next week and a half. I’d just like to thank everyone who signed up- it means so much to me (honestly I’m on a constant high just from this whole ordeal) and THANK YOU, ILY.

TDV Blog schedule

Check out the links to their blogs for their posts (AND we have a surprise blogger on the 26th, hint hint! Check out Jenna’s blog on the 25th for the deets 😘) and show these amazing people some love!

Now… for the character reveal! I’m going to make you scroll (yes I’m THAT person now (we all hate those people, don’t we?)) but wait!! You’ll find out the name of my characters as well as get to see how they look and learn about them and their roles!

Mara the Village Leader!

look at the beautiful art- guess who made it?? NOT ME HAHA. It’s our wonderful Mukta!

Mara is the founder and creator, and Village Leader of The Diamond Village and the person to go to if you have any questions or concerns. She loves the early summer- before it gets too hot!- and interacting with her fellow Villagers. Mara’s in charge of anything that happens with the Village and is our main story builder!

I’m ALSO the blogger behind another character- they’re not a regular, so you won’t see them often, but I’LL MAKE YOU SCROLL AGAIN.

Pep the Peace Ambassador!

Pepper, also known as Pep, is our Peace Ambassador. They are in charge of anything to do with other settlements: communications, trade, cooperation – you name it! They’ll be handling relations with anyone who wants to visit our little village and contribute. Most of the time, Pep’s out with the children and the animals, but you’ll see them when we have a collaboration post!

(also, thanks to Ash for making all the character aesthetics! THEY’RE PERFECT)

My other character, Mara, will be getting an interview very soon as part of the blog tour (hint hint: Me and Ink! just sayin’) so I’ll ask Pep some questions so you can get to know them a little better!

What is your Hogwarts house?

Hi! I’m Pep- and, if you hadn’t guessed, I’m a Hufflepuff! I guess you could say that I’m a bubbly, caring sort of person- but I wouldn’t go so far as to say that I’m hard-working. I’m pretty lazy if you ask me! I do love my friends and family more than anything.

Favorite color?

Orange or yellow! Orange reminds me of pumpkins & oranges, my favorite fruits, as well as those summer~fall evenings when the Sun glows orange. Yellow makes me feel super happy. It’s the color of daisies, sunshine, and butter (three of the best things in life, no kidding). But both colors can also show melancholiness or a lonelier side of itself. That’s why I love them- they’re truthful but beautiful.

Daily routine?

Eek- not anything set in stone, but I usually garden during the day! My garden always has seasonal plants, but my favorites are daisies, pumpkins, and orange trees (though those are much harder to grow). Sometimes I hang out with my Villager friends. Remora and I make pumpkin squash soup (Mara’s fav!) or Flo and I chat aimlessly.

If you read this whole post, thank you so much! I really appreciate the support you’re showing. Now take it up a notch by seeing this beautiful blog and (hopefully) following!

I know I haven’t been posting as much recently, but I have to blame it on school, TDV commitments, and a music concert (THAT’S THE DAY THAT WE LAUNCHED. I’M STUPID TO HAVE MYSELF DOUBLE BOOKED) that *hopefully* went well (atm I’m writing a week in advance because I want to focus on the concert closer to the date- it’s an hour-long, and I’m singing by myself!! YouTube link might be sent to those who ask) (UPDATE: it went pretty well!! I messed up a few times?? But it was an hour-long and I’m glad that I did it! You’ve got to expect some mistakes, right?). I’ll try to start posting more frequently, though! *also let’s ignore the fact that I haven’t posted a wrap-up since August*

Well, friends, it’s time for me to fly away! *whoosh*

  8. Wow! your world (read: you and your friends and your TDV characters) seems very happy and friendly. Your TDV sounds very fun and imaginative, i’ll come back here for that.

    Btw.
Aditi, I’ve tagged you on a blog tag. I hope you don’t mind. It’s Special Blogger Award, there’s some questions that needed to be answered and shared. But obviously, you don’t have to do it if you don’t want to. Thanks!
